Pure Natural Honey — 3 kg

Our house honey comes from the main apiary at Malili, just past Konza on Mombasa Road, where the bees work acacia scrub, sunflower and whatever else is flowering that month. The result changes slightly with each harvest, which is exactly what unblended honey is supposed to do. We strain it once through fine cloth to take out wax and hive debris, then jar it cold. Nothing is heated past hive temperature, nothing is filtered under pressure, and no syrup or water is added. Pollen stays in the jar.

Two harvests a year — February, then again in September once the short rains bloom has finished.

Keep the container closed at room temperature, away from direct sun. Do not refrigerate — cold speeds up crystallisation. Use a dry spoon every time.

Colour: Warm amber, clear when fresh. Aroma: Light florals with a hint of dry grass. Flavour: Rounded sweetness, clean finish, no bitterness. Texture: Free-flowing, thickens and turns creamy after a few months.
